McFarland , it describes about how people take ?numbers?, such as retweets and likes, as a way to judge other people and brag about themselves. Not Just a Pretty Face From the ancient times to the present, women have been considered less than men for hundreds of years. Women, as depicted by House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, are in need of people to help them. The author writes in the front cover that this book is dedicated to women, the people who were most affected by prejudice. With over ten women in need in her book, she expresses her feelings most through three main people and groups: Esperanza, Marin, and the neighbors. A theme of House on Mango Street is that women are considered inferior because of men-driven societies.
