(1.4.14) Duncan and Malcolm are talking about the execution of a treasoner. Duncan means that there?s no way to read a man?s mind by looking at his face. Question 3 ?Stars, hide your fires; /let not light see my black and deep desires. (1.4.57-58) Duncan is telling Macbeth that Malcolm is next in line. Macbeth means that the stars hide their light so no one would know his bad intentions. Question 4

An ordinary man, minding his own business, suddenly is called on a journey with lots of hardships, comes back to his old home with tons of wealth, and becomes an epic hero in the blink on an eye. The characteristics call to action, going on a quest, going to a supernatural place, having a low point, and restitution all define an epic hero. Odysseus, in The Odyssey by Homer, has many defining characteristics of an epic hero, including experiencing a low point and finally having a restitution.

Isaac Yi Ms. McKenzie Realistic Fiction December 2, 2014 Three Simple Words Although seven straight years have passed, I have not forgotten my mistake. Although seven straight years have passed, I still hate popularity. Although seven straight years have passed, I cannot say three simple words to a person, no matter how much I want to. I know I?m a fool, and I shouldn't have been so conceited. This is my story that I will remember and regret for life. The blazing setting sun, warmed me as mobs of children swarmed me, hugging and waving goodbye. I couldn't believe that I had to move away forever, leaving all my friends, the warm heat of Miami, and most importantly, my popularity. I would have to start fresh, although I did not wish to.

Isaac Yi October 24, 2014 Book Response Ms. McKenzie Theme ?Unlike a drop of water, which loses its identity when it joins the ocean, man does not lose himself in society.? The quest to define one?s identity is a natural part of adolescence. However, for the narrator, this task was even more troublesome. He struggled to find out who he was or where he came from. Throughout the novel ?Milkweed? by Jerry Spinelli, the narrator struggled to find his identity.
