Interphase takes the longest to complete. This is because the cell is recovering from cell division in this stage. Cytokinesis is most significantly different between plant and animal cells. They are different because unlike plant cells, in animal cells, a cleavage furrow is formed. The purpose of mitosis is to increase the number of cells that have the same set of DNA ans parent cells. When they split they produce identical cells with a complete set of DNA. Conclusion:

Ancient Greece is the civilization belonging to the period of Greek history lasting from the Archaic period of the 8th to 6th centuries BC to 146 BC and the Roman conquest of Greece after the Battle of Corinth. At the center of this time period is Classical Greece, which flourished during the 5th to 4th centuries BC, at first under Athenian leadership successfully repelling the military threat of Persian invasion. The Athenian Golden Age ends with the defeat of Athens at the hands of Sparta in the Peloponnesian War in 404 BC.

Ancient civilizations such as Greece and Egypt are known throughout the world. There are many similarities and differences between the two. They had the ability to stay ahead of the their time and succeed. For these reasons both have a very strong influence in our history to date.

CHAPTER 9 CHRISTIAN EUROPE , 300-1200 CHAPTER NOTES a. Early Medieval Europe, 300-1000 A. From Roman Empire to Germanic kingdoms a. In the 5th century the Roman Empire broke down. Europe was politically split, with Germanic kings ruling a number of different kingdoms. b. Western Europe continued to suffer invasions as Muslim Arabs and Berbers took the Iberian Peninsula and moved into France. c. In the 8th century the Carolingians united various Frankish kingdoms into a larger empire. At its height, under Charlemagne, the empire included Gaul and parts of Germany and Italy. The empire was subdivided by Charlemagne's grandsons and never united again.

During the Revolutionary War, George Washington led the Continental Army to their first victory by surprising the British troops at the Battle of Trenton in New Jersey. Washington shouldn't have been able to surprise anyone. A loyalist spy trying to report Washington's plan wasn't allowed in to see the British commander because the colonel wouldn't be interrupted while playing cards. When thhe desperate spy finally send in a note explaining that the enemy was advancing for a sneak attack, thhe British colonel put the note in his pocket unread and continued playing cards. It was his deal. The note was later found on the dead colonel's body after Washington's victory.
