Antony's character was slow to emerge, and it wasn't until he was forced to show his true potential, could he really be judged. He was a character with many hidden traits until he was forced to show his true character while defending Caesar after his death. He was misunderstood by all, and his true leadership qualities were underestimated. Once he became a leader of Rome, his true character was uncovered.

LigeiaBy Edgar Allen Poe Jocelynn Ritchey Period 2 What is Ligeia about? Ligeia tells the story of an unnamed narrator and his two wives. His first wife is named Ligeia, the stories namesake. She has a very unclear past, the narrator can?t remember anything about her. He constantly describes her as beautiful and intelligent; she has raven black hair and dark unreadable eyes. They are very much in love when she falls ill mysteriously and eventually dies. What is Ligeia about? After the death of his beloved Ligeia the narrator moves into an abbey in the English countryside. After a short while living at the abbey he meets the lovely, fair haired and blued eyed, Rowena; they too get married.

Macbeth: Introduced as a brutal warrior who has shown not only remarkable courage on the battlefield but also leadership; his morals appeared to be intact his loyalty to his kingdom is unchallenged, and his love for Lady Macbeth is unconditional. Macbeth?s strong and noble character falters when the Weird Sisters foretell that he shall become king: he comes to the conclusion, under pressure from Lady Macbeth, that he must kill Duncan to take the throne or else see Malcolm, son of Duncan, take it from his precious eyes. Over the course of the play, Macbeth?s horrid actions bring him to be a very callous and coldhearted man. Furthermore, he loses grasp of his morals and becomes extremely egotistical.

Have you ever been new to something? Like your first day at a new school feeling insecure or different, or moving into a new town and at first not feeling accepted. If you have, then you can relate to John from Brave New World. In the novel, Brave New World, it is obvious that John is unhappy, persistent, and unique.
